2025 Will Be an Exciting Year for Integreat! Our goal remains to make working with Integreat easier for cities and districts while making the app more accessible and intuitive for users. To achieve this, we have several major innovations planned—both for the content management system and the app itself. Here’s an overview of the most important developments.

Improvements in the Content Management System

To further simplify the maintenance and management of content for our cities and districts, we will introduce several new features in the content management system throughout the year. These include, among others:

  • Page-Based Statistics: Cities and districts will gain deeper insights into which pages are accessed and how often—across all languages. This makes it easier to optimize content and tailor it to the target audience. Additionally, it will be possible to analyze which topics are of interest to specific language groups.
  • New Contact Module: An improved management system for contact information will make it easier to clearly display, add, and centrally update contact persons and institutions when changes occur.
  • Calendar Import: This feature was introduced at the beginning of 2025 and allows external calendars to be directly integrated into Integreat. You can find more details on how it works in this blog post. For cities and districts, this feature is a significant improvement, making event management much easier.

Updates for the Integreat App

The app itself will also receive several significant updates in 2025 to make it more modern and user-friendly. These updates include, for example:

  • New Design: The app will be redesigned to make navigation even easier and more enjoyable. We are following Google’s Material Design standards—a proven approach that enhances user-friendliness in many apps and websites.
  • Text-to-Speech Function: Content can be read aloud directly, improving Integreat’s accessibility.
  • News Filters: Users will be able to filter news based on their interests, allowing them to quickly find the information they need.
  • Integration of External News Sources: Cities and districts will soon be able to integrate external news sources directly into Integreat, ensuring even more up-to-date information.
  • Event Filters: This feature was introduced in early February and allows users to search for events in their region based on various criteria.

Expanding Integreat

Our overarching goal remains to bring Integreat to even more cities and districts, making the integration process as seamless as possible. With these new features, we aim not only to better support our existing partners but also to make it easier for new municipalities to get started.

2025 will be a year full of exciting innovations—we look forward to implementing them together with you!
