12 months had passed in November 2016, after Integreat was launched in Augsburg. Eight municipalities and districts already used Integreat as an information tool for people with an escape or migration background – meanwhile there are already 17! As one of 100 selected projects Integreat was invited to the Future Convention in Frankfurt. At the convention the second round of the jury vote was due with the jurors visting the stands had discussions with the projects. After almost ten hours of Integreat presentation with all interested people, including a 3-minute pitch on stage and eager exchange of business cards, Integreat was awarded in the category “Technology”. We’re overwhelmed. This year’s commitment award of the Friedrich-Ebert Foundation goes to our project Integreat. Francesco De Meo, CEO of Helios Kliniken, presented the award today in Berlin. The prize has already been awarded for the 10th time. Previous winners include Rock Your Life and Arbeiterkind.de. Today we introduce to you Martin Schrimpf. Martin is one of the founders of Integreat and since the first day an important part of the team. As a software engineering student he has not only planned the current Integreat architecture, but also invests a lot of hours in the project, in addition to his studies and job, in order to continuously develop the everyday guide. Martin is currently in Boston writing his master’s thesis in Artifical Intelligence.
