Who is behind the app Integreat? We would like to use our blog today to give the yellow G a face and introduce another member of our team. Janine Rosenbaum is studying business informatics at the TU Munich. Janine joined Integreat at the beginning of 2017 as an intern and is currently writing her bachelor thesis on the use of Mobile Government. Janine is mainly active in the areas of corporate development, public relations and mobile application testing.

As part of the European Youth Award Festival 2017, jurors, mentors, students and projects from different parts of the world came together in Graz last week to exchange ideas, build networks and share experiences. We congratulate all winners of this year’s Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Commitment Award. As last year’s winner, we were honoured to have been invited again. Simon was also able to report on our project in a workshop and a presentation at the award ceremony. Probably the most impressive number: Integreat has won 21 more municipalities since last year.

The 9th Integreat Conference ended yesterday evening at the TU Munich. We would like to thank all volunteers, old and new faces, who helped to organise the two workshop and conference days. The focus was on the exchange with already active cities and districts (Friday), as well as the strategy for the technical development (Saturday). We take the opportunity of our blog to introduce you to another person from our team of about 40 people. Maximilian Ammann is studying computer science at the University of Augsburg and joined our team in spring 2017. He is not only responsible for Integreat’s new WebApp (web.integreat-app.de), but also supports the strategic development of a sustainable open source landscape in our project.
